Victims ID'd In Double Fatal Crash In Jersey City
Two people from Union City were killed when their car was involved in a car crash early Sunday morning.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Two Union City residents were killed in a weekend car crash in Jersey City, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Mario Guevara, 25, and Heather Acosta, 24, were killed in the early morning hours on Sunday when the Toyota Corolla they were traveling in was involved in a crash on Tonnelle Avenue.
Police responded to the 600 block of Tonnelle Ave around 3:20 a.m., where they found an overturned Honda Accord in the roadway, and the Toyota on the sidewalk in the northbound lanes.

Acotsa and Guevara were pronounced dead at the scene just after 4 a.m. A driver and front-seat passenger from each car were all taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
