Jersey City Cop On Trial For Hiding A Fugitive In Her Home Learns Her Fate
A jury has reached a verdict in a case in which a Jersey City officer was accused of hiding a suspect in her home.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A jury has reached a verdict in a case in which a Jersey City officer was accused of hiding a suspect in her apartment, prosecutors said.
Last Wednesday, the jury returned a guilty verdict in connection with official misconduct charges filed against Page Rivera, 35, between September 2022 and February 2023, said the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Rivera, 35, was found guilty of official misconduct-non-performance of duties, official misconduct-unauthorized use of official function, and pattern of official misconduct, prosecutors said.

She was found not guilty of hindering.
The state of New Jersey alleged that between Sept. 28, 2022 and Feb. 17, 2023, while in Jersey City, Rivera hid Frederick Womack "by harboring or concealing Womack in connection with a shooting investigation."

Womack was found in Rivera’s apartment and arrested. He is currently serving a sentence in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to aggravated assault related to the shooting.
Rivera is in state custody, awaiting sentencing on Oct. 10.
