Virginia Man Shot To Death In Jersey City Smoke Shop Sunday: Hudson County Prosecutor
The man was shot early Sunday morning at a retail establishment on Danforth Avenue in Jersey City, prosecutors said.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A 23-year-old Virginia man was found shot to death inside a smoke shop in Jersey City around midnight on Sunday, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said.
At approximately 12 a.m. Sunday, the Jersey City Police Department received a report of shots fired in the area of Danforth Avenue.
Officers located Khalil King of Fayetteville, North Carolina unresponsive with a gunshot wound inside 152 Danforth Ave., prosecutors said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:16 a.m., prosecutors said.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are
investigating this case. No arrests have been made.
The shooting is the fifth apparent homicide in Jersey City so far in 2023.
