(nj.com subscription) — Environmental crews have begun new testing at Keyport’s Aeromarine landfill, where long-standing contamination worries and a suspected cancer cluster have residents on edge. Using both on-the-ground sampling and drone observations, officials are checking groundwater, soil, and vapors to see whether dangerous chemicals remain and if there’s still a pathway for human exposure near nearby Keyport and Union Beach neighborhoods. 
• Delaware Valley blanks Keyport - Central Jersey, Group 1 first round (nj.com subscription) — Keyport’s baseball team was shut out 2-0 at home by Delaware Valley in the Central Jersey Group 1 first round, managing only two hits despite a strong outing from pitcher Ryan Byrne. The loss ends Keyport’s tournament run, while Delaware Valley advances to face Piscataway Magnet in Friday’s quarterfinals.
