Apple Festival, Lacey Day Return On September 28

The slate of events includes the Historical Society's Apple Pie Baking Contest.

LACEY, NJ — A celebration of apples, and Lacey Township, returns this month. Apple Festival and Lacey Day will run from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 at Gille Park.

The Lacey Historical Society's Apple Festival includes apple-themed crafts, games, an apple bake sale and an apple pie baking contest.

The contest features cash prizes: $50 for first place, $30 for second and $20 for third. There will be two competing categories for adults and students.

Competitors must register before the day of the contest. Forms will be available Aug. 15 at the Lacey Old Schoolhouse Museum’s front door (126 S. Main St.) and the Lacey Board of Recreation office.

You must deliver your pie to the Gill Park pavilion between 10:30 a.m. and noon Sept. 28.
