Authorities Investigating Early Morning Lacey Shed Fire
The fire happened at about 1:15 a.m. on May 9, Lacey police said.

LACEY, NJ — Authorities are currently investigating an early morning shed fire in Lacey, according to Lacey Township police.
Officers arrived at a house on Sylvania Place at about 1:15 a.m. on May 9 for a report of a shed fire, police said. The shed had heavy smoke and a large volume of flames.
The Forked River Fire Department arrived to extinguish the flames.

Neighbors were temporarily evacuated from their homes as the fire was extinguished due to a heavy wind factor, police said.
The Lanoka Harbor First Aid Squad was also present. No one was injured, police said.

The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Lacey Township Police Detective Bureau responded to the scene and are investigating the cause of the fire.
