Budget Workshop Meeting Set In Lacey

LACEY, NJ — Residents who are curious about what's in store for the upcoming municipal budget are invited to a public budget workshop meeting on Feb. 29.

The meeting is set for 3 p.m. and on the agenda is one item - the 2024 capital budget review and discussion.

A previous budget meeting was held Feb. 1, where township departments had submitted their budgetary needs for the upcoming year.

It was "the best presented budget I've ever attended," Committeeman Mark Dykoff said previously, noting that it was succinct and "very easy to understand."

Committeeman Tim McDonald noted that they had their work cut out for themselves, as they had $35 million in asks that needed to be whittled down to about $2 to 2.5 million.

"It's never easy," McDonald said.

Thursday's meeting will be held in the Lacey Township Municipal Building located at 818 W. Lacey Road.
