Forked River Man Hid Cell Phone Screen Protectors In His Pants
James C. DeCarlo, 23, was charged with shoplifting the items at Walmart in Lanoka Harbor, police chief says.

Lacey police recently charged a Forked River man with shoplifting 10 Samsung cell phone protectors from the Walmart on Route 9, Police Chief David A. Paprota siad.
Officer Charles May responded to Walmart, 580 Route 9 North in the Lanoka Harbor section of the township on a shoplifting report at 4:16 pm. on March 16 on a shoplifting report. The loss prevention employee reported that he saw a man remove 10 Samsung cell phone screen protectors from the store shelves and then hide them in the rear waistband of his pants, the chief said.
The man then tried to exit the store through the garden center section without paying for the merchandise, which was valued at $99.60. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest James C. DeCarlo, 23, Spruce Street for shoplifting.
