Forked River Woman Facing DUI, Numerous Alcohol-Related Charges

Lacey police recently arrested a 19-year-old Forked River woman after an officer saw her vehicle strike a curb and fail to maintain her lane of travel, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer John McKee was on patrol at 10:48 p.m. on Feb. 13 when he saw the vehicle in front of him hit a curb at the intersection of Lake Barnegat Drive North and Lacey Road. He conducted a traffic stop at Veterans Way and Manchester Avenue in Forked River, assisted by Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas, chief said.
Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Caroline Erikson, Chelsea Street, for driving under the influence. She was taken to police headquarters where she was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, driving with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and underage consumption of alcohol.

Her vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law, the chief said.
