Lacey Committee Sets Budget Meeting Dates For 2016

Lacey Township officials will hold three budget hearings starting on Feb. 4 to begin preparing the 2016 municipal budget, Township Administrator Veronica Laureigh said.

The meetings will be held on Feb. 4, Feb. 18 and March 3. All of the the meetings will start at 5:30 p.m. in Town Hall on Lacey Road, Laureigh said at the Jan. 14 Township Committee meeting.

“If we need additional ones, we’ll go from there,” Laureigh said.

Police Chief David A. Paprota and Public Works Director Casey Parker will attend the Feb. 4 meeting to discuss their needs for 2016. Members of Lacey’s various emergency services will attend the Feb. 18 meeting. The last meeting will be devoted to the 2016 capital budget.

There’s no need to meet with Recreation Department officials because most of the department’s costs are offset by user fees, she said.
