Lacey Cops: Man Involved In Wawa Dispute Charged With Drunk Driving

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man for drunk driving following a dispute that began at the Wawa on Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Christopher Meyler responded to the 1100 block of Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor at 10:05 p.m. on March 5 on a report of a dispute that occurred at the Wawa store, the chief said.

An investigation at Wawa revealed that one of the subjects involved drove to the Laurel Boulevard residence. Police arrested Michael J. Angelo, 34, Windward Drive and charged him with driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving while on the suspended list, Paprota said.

Angelo's vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law, the chief said.
