LACEY, NJ — Russ Nagy watched his youngest son graduate high school Sunday. He rode his bike Monday to Gille Park to teach a karate class. He got in a serious accident and got airlifted to the hospital. Shortly after, the Lacey man was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Nagy's wife Ellen and their sons, Joseph and Alex, can't even visit him in the hospital. They're quarantined for two weeks as they await their coronavirus test results.

Ellen and Russ are 'GOOD PEOPLE' and give to others way more than they could ever receive," Tina Kennis wrote in a GoFundMe for the Nagy family, "but it is time for us to return their overwhelming generosity.

Many around Lacey know the Nagy family directly or indirectly because of various events in their community, Kennis says.

"As the Corporate Director for Building Services for United Methodist Communities," Kennis wrote, "he manages maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, and grounds, in addition to running all capital projects for UMC's nine communities including the purchasing of PPE for UMC systems."

How to Help

Ellen will shoulder significant financial responsibility with Russ out of work. But a GoFundMe has helped the family during this difficult time.
