Lacey Middle School Teacher Suspended After Being Charged With Weapons Offenses
Michael W. Spader also suspended from Point Pleasant Beach Board of Education.

A Lacey Township Middle School teacher has been suspended from the district after Point Pleasant Beach police charged him with four weapons offenses, according to Micromedia Publications.
Michael W. Spader, 62, was arrested in early May. He is also a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Board of Education and is now barred from both Lacey and Point Pleasant Beach school properties.
Lacey Schools Superintendent Susan Anthony said Spader was placed on administrative leave on May 4 until further notice.

The court summons lists several weapons Spader apparently possessed including : a Daewoo K2 assault rifle, a Colt 1911 .45 caliber handgun with its serial number defaced, a Night Watchman model stun gun and eight 30-round capacity .223 caliber ammunition magazines.
Spader was charged with four weapons offenses for possession of firearms, and taken to the Ocean County Jail on May 24 in lieu of $50,000 bail.
