Lacey Mom Thanks Police Officer for Being Kind to her Autistic Son

A Lacey mother of two said she wanted to thank a local police officer after what happened in Dallas.

Lacey, NJ - A Lacey mother of two, Kara Bednarski Viscito, posted this photo to Facebook over the weekend, highlighting the Matawan Police Department. This took place outside MJXpressions dance studio in Matawan:

"Don't judge all by one person's action..Don't profile every Officer as racist people think every Officer judges all AA males....learn the individual and then come to conclusions..This is Officer from Matawan NJ...My son who happens to have autism has fear of police and would run and hide from them So what did this Officer do on his break?? DRIVE OVER TO WHERE MY SON DANCES BEFORE CLASS AND SIT WITH HIM AND TALK!! (This went for a few weeks)He gained my sons comfort and respect he even let him in police car and type in a ghost report on the screen Kudos to him and to his partner I can't recall their names belive he is Officer Charlie and she is Officer Stephenie (or Jennifer)but they both are amazing people and we need more officers like them please share ‪#‎blacklivesmatter‬, ‪#‎policelivesmatter‬,‪#‎matawanpd‬"

The interaction happened last summer, 2015, but, "Once all this stuff happened in Dallas, I thought it would be a good time to show respect," Viscito told Patch.
