Lacey Police Charge Barnegat Woman With Drunk Driving After She Rams Mailbox
Marie D. Alfieri's car was stuck on a retaining wall, police said.

Lacey police recently charged a Barnegat woman after she backed up into a mailbox in the 1000 block of Bowsprit Point, then became stuck on a retaining wall, Police Chief Michael DiBella said.
Officer Michael Hein responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at 6:06 p.m. on July 8. A caller reported the accident and said the car was trapped on the retaining wall, the chief said.
Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, Marie D. Alfieri, 60, Tuscarora Avenue in Barnegat.

She was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. Her car was impounded pursuant to John's Law, DiBella said
