Lacey Police Charge Forked River Man With Theft Of $25,000 Wedding Ring, Drug Offenses

Frederick Creutz also charged with possession of a heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Lacey police recently charged a Forked River man with the theft of a woman's wedding ring worth $25,000 from her Wainwright Street home in early August.

Officer Michael Verwey responded to police headquarters on a theft report at 10:03 p.m. on Aug. 22. the victim reported that her ring was stolen from her home in early August, Police Chief Michael DiBella said.

Further investigation revealed that Frederick Creutz, 46, had stolen the ring and pawned it in another jurisdiction. Police arrested him at his home in the 400 block of Steuben Aveue in Forked River and charged him with the theft of the ring, the chief said.

Police also charged him with possession of heroin, possession of marijuana of 50 grams or lress and possession of drug paraphernalia, DiBella said.
