Lacey Police Charge Lawrenceville Man With Drunk Driving

Lacey police recently arrested a Lawrenceville man and charged him with driving under the influence after a motor vehicle stop on Route 9, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Jason Lee was on patrol in the area of Route 9 in the Forked River section of the township when he observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel at 10:57 p.m. on May 16. He stopped the vehicle on Route 9 near the intersection of Parker’s Point Boulevard, the chief said.
Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Richard C. Johnson, 63, of Princeton Park in Lawrenceville, for driving under the influence. He was taken to headquarters, where he was also charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and consuming an alcoholic beverage while driving, Paprota said.

Johnson's car was impounded as per John's Law, the chief said.
