Lacey Police Charge Toms River Man With Drunk Driving

Officer saw Louis S. Fudali back into a parked car.

Lacey police arrested a Toms River man for driving under the influence after a police officer saw him back into a parked car, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Michael Eden responded to Old Shore Road in Forked River at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 on a report of an intoxicated male driving a vehicle. A description of the vehicle and a license plate were provided. Eden saw the vehicle back into the parked car and made an immediate motor vehicle stop, the chief said.

After investigating at the scene, Eden arrested Louis S. Fudali, Fairfield Road, Tom River. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was also charged with reckless driving and improper backing, Paprota said.

Fudali’s vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law, the chief said.
