Lacey Police Charge Toms River Man With Drunk Driving
Arrest came after a report of an erratic driver on Lacey Road, police chief says.

Lacey Township police recently arrested a Toms River man and charged him with driving under the influence after they responded to a report of an erratic driver, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Adam Ewart responded to the 7-11 at 524 Lacey Road in Forked River at 4:05 p.m. on Feb. 6 to investigate the driver, who had just pulled into the parking lot, the chief said.
The caller reported that the vehicle had been traveling east on Lacey Road and had entered the westbound lanes of travel and almost collided with oncoming traffic, Paprota said.

Police arrested Mahesh M. Chaudhari, 40. He was taken to police headquarters, where he was charged with DUI and reckless driving, the chief said.
