Lacey Police Find Manalapan Man Passed Out Behind The Wheel In The Middle Of Lacey Road
Manalapan resident Joseph G. Grogan, Jr. 33, was stopped in the middle of the roadway.

Lacey police recently charged a Manalapan man with drunk driving after Office Anthony Sarno found him passed out in the middle of Lacey Road, Police Chief Michael DiBella said.
Sarno saw the vehicle stopped near the southbound entrance to the Garden State Parkway in Forked River at 1:47 a.m. on Aug. 14. When he approached the vehicle, he saw that Joseph G. Grogan, Jr., 33, Saratoga Drive, Manalapan, was passed out behind the wheel, the chief said.
He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Grogan received traffic summonses for driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt, creating the risk of an accident and obstructing the passage of motor vehicles, DiBella said.

The vehicle he was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
