Lacey Police Investigating Attempted Burglary At Pershing Avenue Home

Lacey police are investigating an attempted forced entry into a home on the 1400 block of Perhsing Avenue in Forked River, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Michael Hein responded to the home at 11:47 p.m. on May 3. The victim told police that sometime between 10 p.m. on May 2 and 11:30 a.m. on May 3, an unknown person or persons tried to force open the screen door and door jamb and a shed door at the rear of the property, the chief said.

It did not appear anything was stolen. Total damage is estimated at $150, Paprota said.
