Lacey Police Investigating Recent Theft At Retro Fitness

Lacey detectives area investigating the theft of $82 stolen recently from a man’s backpack in the locker room of Retro Fitness, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Andrew Slota responded to Retro Fitness, 410 South Main Street in the Forked River section of the township on a report of a theft at 6:40 p.m. on Feb. 14. The victim told police that he stored his backpack in the men’s locker room while he was working out, the chief said.

When he was told a subject had gone through the lockers, he checked and discovered that $82 was missing. The staff was told and a potential suspect was identified, but had left before the police were contacted, Paprota said.
