Lacey Police Investigating Theft Of $22,700 Of Religious Items From Forked River Home
Majority of stolen items were made out of gold.

Lacey Township police are investigating the recent theft of $22,700 from a Longwood Drive home in the Barnegat Pines section of the township, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Noah Schaffer responded to the home on a report of a burglary at 1:15 p.m. on June 12. The victim told police that between 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on June 12, an unknown person or persons entered his home and stole $22,700 worth of his property, the chief said.
The stolen items included seven gold religious chalice cups, each valued at $1,000; three blue ceramic chalice cups, each valued at $200; a gold cross with six green emerald stones, valued at $6,000; a five-inch gold “Jesus” cross valued at $5,000; and a gold chalice “Ciborium” cup valued at $1,500. No signs of forced entry were located, Paprota said.
