Lacey Police: Jewelry, Cash Stolen From Clearview Street Home
Thief or thieves smashed rear window glass to get inside, police chief says.

Lacey detectives are investigating the recent theft of cash and jewelry from a Clearview Street home in Forked River recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota says.
Officer Brian Holt responded to a residence on Clearview Street at 4:58 p.m. on Jan. 1 on a report of a burglary. The victim told police that someone entered the home between 8 a.m. on Dec. 31 and 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 1 and took cash from a dresser drawer and jewelry from a jewelry box, the chief said.
Entry was made into the residence by breaking the glass of a rear window. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit also responded to help process the scene, Paprota said.
