Lacey Police Searching For Shoplifter Who Fled From Walmart On Route 9 North

Lacey police are still looking for a man who shoplifted items from Walmart, told the store's loss prevention officer "You can't touch me" then fled the store on foot, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to the store at 1:41 p.m. on Dec. 3 on a report of a shoplifter who fled the store with merchandise. The loss prevention associated followed the man and confronted him at the front entrance of the store with the merchandise, the chief said.

The subject stated, “You can’t touch me” and then fled the scene on foot running north through the Lacey Used Auto rear parking lot. The suspect was described as a white male in his early 30s with a beard, weighing approximately 150 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a black leather coat and light blue jeans, DiBella said.

The incident is still under investigation, the chief said.
