Lacey Police: Thieves Do $10,000 Worth Of Damage To Cars At Auto Sales Business

Catalytic converters were stolen from 14 vehicles on the lot, police chief says.

Lacey Township police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from underneath 14 vehicles for sale at Christopher’s Auto Sales on Route 9 North, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Jason Lee responded to the business at 1:26 p.m. on Dec. 29, Christopher’s Auto Sales, 309 Route 9 North, for a report of theft. The victim reported that during the overnight hours of Monday, Dec. 28 into the morning hours of Tuesday, Dec. 29, someone removed the converters from underneath the vehicles, the chief said.

The damage to the vehicles and theft is estimated at $10,000, Paprota said.
