LACEY, N.J. — Good Friday falls on the same date as the first night of Passover this year. Here's a guide to what will be closed Friday around town.

  • Municipal offices: closed
  • Recycling center: closed
  • Public schools: closed
  • Ocean County Library: closed

Good Friday a state holiday in New Jersey, so non-essential state government offices and courts are closed. But it's not a federal holiday, so federal services such as post offices remain open.

Good Friday is a holiday for the New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and other major U.S. markets. Branches of all major banks should be open with normal customer hours, according to money.com.
