Lacey's ALDI To Open Sept. 10: What To Expect On Day 1

LACEY, NJ — Lacey will soon get its first of two discount grocery stores. ALDI will open on 300 N. Main St. at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.

The first 100 customers will receive gift cards as part of ALDI's Golden Ticket giveaway. Shoppers can also enter a sweepstakes for a year's supply of produce.

ALDI will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

"We combine great food with affordable prices, and we are excited to open our first store in Forked River, to show a new community of shoppers what we do best,” Bob Grammer, Center Valley division vice president for ALDI, said in a statement.

Lacey's ALDI also lists job openings for full-time and part-time store associates.

The new store layout features expansive refrigeration space and features ALDI's recently expanded produce offerings. The company's expansion plan includes a 40 percent increase in fresh-food selection, which includes organic and easy-to-prepare options.
