Lidl To Hold Lacey Grand Opening September 12
The first 100 customers will receive gift cards ranging from $5 to $100.

LACEY, NJ — The wait is almost over. Lidl will hold the grand opening of its Lacey store at 8 a.m. Sept. 12.
The first 100 customers will receive gift cards ranging from $5 to $100. Shoppers will also receive free samples and a complimentary Lidl reusable bag while supplies last.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 7:40 a.m. at the store on 514 Route 9. Lidl will feature games, activities, prizes, deals and giveaways throughout its opening weekend.

“As a South Jersey native, I am extremely excited to bring Lidl’s high quality and low prices closer to home,” Lacey store manager Tiffany Nowetner said in a statement. “The team and I are eager to introduce customers in Lacey to the award-winning, high quality products and convenient shopping experience.”

They were right, but Lacey will get to shop at the discount grocer far earlier. ALDI, another discount grocer, will open "later this summer," according to an ALDI representative. Read more: ALDI In Lacey Opening 'Later This Summer'

Lidl will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. The grocer first opened in Germany in 1973. The chain expanded to the United States in 2015, with a store in Arlington County, Virginia.
Lidl also listed Lacey-based jobs on its website, such as store associate.
