Man Found Lying On Sidewalk At St. Pius Arrested For Heroin Possession

Christopher Cox, 26, also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, police chief said.

Lacey police recently charged a Forked River man with possession of heroin after they found him lying on the sidewalk in the parking lot of St. Pius R. C. Church, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Sgt. Ronald Buxton responded a report of a suspicious male lying on the sidewalk at 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 18, the chief said.

Buxton located Christopher Cox, 26. While Buxton spoke to Cox, Patrolman Charles May observed wax folds containing heroin and a hypodermic syringe.

Cox was arrested and transported to Lacey Township police headquarters. Cox was processed and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe, Paprota said.
