'Meet The Officers Day' Coming Up At Lacey Middle School Saturday

Lacey Township police officers are hosting a free "Meet-the-Officers" event on Saturday with prizes, food, refreshments, music and games, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Participants will have a chance to speak with the officers and the police department staff at the event, which is sponsored by the Lacey PBA Local #238 and the Lacey Municipal Police Foundation.

"This event is an integral part of the COPs Collectible Card Program which is in Week #7," Paprota said. "Lacey students will have the opportunity to collect additional cards and have them signed by the officers and staff."

Giveaways will include T-shirts, bicycle helmets and other items. Visitors are free to stop by anytime during the day. The event hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the chief said.
