Pair Tried Stealing $3.5K In Goods From Lacey Home Depot: Police

One suspect hasn't been caught. The other gave police a fake name, authorities said.

LACEY, NJ — Two suspects took Home Depot's "Do it right for less" slogan a little too seriously. Two males tried stealing $3,576 in goods Tuesday morning from the Lacey location, police said.

One suspect wasn't apprehended, but police found another man involved. The man told officers his name is Christopher Miller, police said. Lacey police found out his name is Christopher Cox.

Cox was charged with shoplifting and providing false info, police said. He also had outstanding warrants issued in Toms River and Seaside Heights, according to authorities.

Cox, 29, of Forked River, was taken to the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
