Special Meeting Set On Upcoming YMCA Referendum In Lacey

Whether or not to build the YMCA will be up to the voters this November.

LACEY, NJ — A special meeting is set for the end of the month to discuss the YMCA ballot referendum question.

For several months, Lacey has been floating a potential partnership that would build a YMCA on township-owned land.

However, the decision of whether it gets built comes down to the voters. It will be a referendum question on the November ballot.

The wording of said question is likely to be discussed at the special meeting, which is set for July 30 at 6 p.m. in the Lacey Township Municipal Building.

"Proposed items of discussion will be YMCA ballot referendum question," the meeting notice reads.
