Juliano Swamps Pancza In Race For Lone Township Committee Seat

Longtime Township Committeeman David E. Most did not file for a fourth term

Republican Nicholas ”Nick” Juliano has won the lone seat on the Township Committee, handily defeating Democrat Gregory Pancza.

Juliano received 4,226 votes to Pancza’s 2,662 votes, or 61.26 percent to 38.59 percent, respectively, according to the Ocean County Clerk’s Office.i

Republican Township Committeeman David E. Most did not seek re-election for a fourth term.

Pancza, a Bradley Beach police officer, has lived in Forked River with his wife and two children since 2009. He is also a member of the Forked River Fire Company and is an instructor at the Ocean County Fire Academy.

He ran as an “independent” Republican in 2013 and came in third in the contested Republican primary in the two committee seats available that year. He switched to the Democratic party this year.

Juliano is a commissioner on the Lacey Township Municipal Utilities Authority.
