2. Paving Set For 7 Lacey Streets (patch.com) — Road crews will be milling and paving seven neighborhood streets in Lacey starting Sept. 16, following recent gas line upgrades, and drivers should expect alternating traffic patterns and delays. 3. Open alcohol, marijuana found after serious Ocean County crash (wobm.com) — A serious head-on crash on Route 539 in Lacey left two people hospitalized in serious but stable condition after police say a Philadelphia driver crossed into oncoming traffic. Investigators reported open alcohol containers, pre-rolled marijuana, and signs of impairment, and the driver now faces assault by auto charges and possible additional counts as the case continues.

The 25 highest scoring N.J. football games through Week 2 (nj.com subscription) — Lacey High School's football team earned a notable shutout win over Toms River East, holding them to zero while scoring 10 points in a defense-dominated game.
