PLEASE Tell Lacey Mayor to help Say NO to a HIGH school Tax Increase!

Please help implore Lacey Mayor Pete Curatolo tell the Lacey School District a severe tax increase is going to cause too much hardship for Lacey residents already barely making ends meet. Another possible 10% tax increase may be proposed at a special meeting Wednesday night June 4th at 5:30PM in the High School Lecture Hall.

Bring your Lacey friends and neighbors please. Plan to speak of your personal hardship with taxes. Another large increase is unacceptable. A reorganization of the School District needs to take place.

Dear Peter:
I trust you are well. There will be yet another School Board Budget meeting on Wednesday June 4 at 5:30pm. You said to me in our phone call on Friday that you would support a 3.15% budget increase only. I think Peter with all due respect that you Need to come to this meeting and say exactly that. Ms. Klaus wants to increase the taxes by 10% over last years 9.9% increase. This is totally unacceptable and as our Mayor you need to act. Ms. Klaus drives around in her Porsche and totally lacks any empathy for the struggling families in our community. Her only solution is to just raise the taxes instead of doing the hard work that is required to get this school district’s house in order. I cant believe this is happening again. What is it that she does not get. We defeated the schools referendum because people have had it with more extraordinary tax increases from The district. Please Peter as our duly elected Mayor I am imploring you to show us all that you are the leader of our town and are not afraid to take a stand.

Lacey Citizens for Responsible Government are asking you to please call the Mayor's office- (609) 693-1100 and the Lacey School District Office (609) 971-2000 to protest another large tax increase. Last year we were promised this would never happen again- they lied and it's all on video.
