On Dec 13, 2019, Peggy Sue Juliano wrote a false statement against me to help Shawn Giordano, former Board of Education President, levy ethics charges against me during my second term on the Lacey Board of Education. This false statement led to a 5 year legal battle and I had to countersue to defend myself.

This is the link to the final appeal upheld by the Appellate Division. Mr. Giordano appealed his case three times to no avail. His legal fees to date are over $210,000. Partially paid by the School District’s insurance (NJSIG coverage was only $100K) and the remainder is still being paid by the School District. The cash register is still running because a final decision has not been rendered yet in 2 other ethics cases against Mr. Giordano filed by Gavin Rozzi and Sonia Marchitello who were opposing candidates with Giordano in the 2019 school board election. He investigated his opponents with public funds.

The Deputy Attorney General informed me a few weeks ago that it could be another 2 months before a final decision is received on those 2 cases.
