Quinn To Serve As Mayor For Second Year In A Row
Township Committee bypasses Dykoff for deputy mayor, Juliano sworn in.
Township Committeeman Gary Quinn will serve his second year in a row as mayor, a departure from the traditional one-year term each committee person usually serves.
Quinn was sworn in at the Jan. 1 reorganization meeting in Town Hall. Township Committeeman Mark Dykoff - who served as deputy mayor in 2014 - will not hold the title in 2015.
Instead, township officials picked Township Committeeman Steven Kennis. The switch may have been a result of the simple assault complaint police filed again Dykoff after he punched now-former Committeeman David E. Most in the face at a Republican Club picnic back in September.

The matter ended up in Manchester Township Municipal Court. Most agreed to drop any charges if Dykoff apologized publicly. He did.
Quinn and Dykoff’s terms are up at the end of 2015. Republicans maintain control of the Township Committee with a 5-0 majority.
