Road rage turned into physical fights, a "suspicious" man followed a young girl at Gille Park and more in November, according to police.

LACEY, NJ — A "suspicious" man followed an underage girl at Gille Park, road rage turned physical and more in November, according to Lacey police.
Police released their monthly blotter, outlining different incidents responded to throughout the month of November.

Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, November 7, 2024, at 0804 hours, multiple officers, including Officer Tirella, responded to CVS for an incident. While investigating the incident, Kenneth Furman, 29, of Brick, was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department. Kenneth was placed under arrest and transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
Simple Assault– Mutual Fighting
On Wednesday, November 06, 2024, at 2200 hours, several officers, including Officer Triano, responded to the Lacey Inn for a report of an argument between residents of two different rooms. On arrival, officers met with the involved parties, Scott Carter, 55, and Patrick Denver, 62. Investigation at the scene lead to both subjects being charged with Simple Assault on a Special form of complaint.

Criminal Mischief
On Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1259 hours, Officer Walsh responded to the 100 block of Caldwell Avenue for a report of criminal mischief. The homeowner stated they were away from their home for three weeks and when they returned, they discovered that all of the copper wiring and pipes were removed, and some of her personal property was stolen. The damage was valued at approximately $5,000.
DWI/MVA
On Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 0322 hours, officers observed a vehicle parked on the front lawn of the Levinson Axelrod Office. The driver, Joseph Pedicini, 27, of Forked River, was located at the scene. It was determined that Joseph was under the influence, was placed under arrested and transported to headquarters for processing. Joseph was charged criminally with Possession of CDS on a complaint summons and several motor vehicle summonses including DWI, Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Improper Driving on a Sidewalk and CDS in a Motor Vehicle. Joseph was provided with his copies of the summons and released pursuant to John’s Law.
Shoplifting/Possession of CDS- Arrest
On November 13, 2024, 1120 hours, Officer Kevin Tranz responded to ShopRite for a report of a female shoplifter. Upon arrival Officer Tranz met with the loss prevention associate who stated Savanah Wojceichowski, 28, had stolen several items from the store and attempted to leave without paying. Savanah was placed under arrested and transported to headquarters. Savanah was charged on a complaint summons with Shoplifting and Possession of CDS then released.
Credit Card Theft/Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card- Arrest
On Thursday, November 14, 2024, Officer Nilon charged Adam Thomas, 22, with Credit Card Theft and Fraudulent Use of Credit Card following an extensive investigation. Adam had taken a Wawa Fuel Credit Card belonging to his former employer and over the course of several months, charged $2599.35 worth of fuel to the account. Adam responded to headquarters where he was processed and served with a complaint summons then released.
Burglary to a Motor Vehicle
On November 15, 2024, at 0753 hours, Officer D’Antonio responded to Capstan Drive for a report of a vehicle burglary. Officer D’Antonio met with the caller who reported at approximately 0311 hours his vehicles were entered by two subjects. The subjects were captured on a Ring Camera and are described as two males wearing all black. In the end it was determined that the vehicles were entered, but nothing was taken. This investigation is still ongoing.
DWI
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 0048 hours, Officer Spina conducted a motor vehicle stop near Clearview Street and Kent Drive. Contact was made with the driver, Jonathan Adams, 36, of Forked River, who was presenting signs of intoxication. Jonathan was placed under arrest for DWI. Jonathan was then transported to police headquarters for processing. Jonathan was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, Reckless Driving, and Failure to Dim High Beams and released pursuant to John’ Law.
Inhalation/Possession of Toxic Chemicals- Arrest
On November 16, 2024, at 1229 hours, Officer D’Antonio responded to Walmart for a report of a fall victim in the parking lot. Officers arrived and located Brian Eak, 45, of Beachwood, who sustained a minor injury. At the conclusion of the investigation Brian was placed under arrest for Inhalation of Toxic Chemicals and Possession of Toxic Chemicals. Brian was transported to headquarters where he was charged on a complaint summons and released.
Warrant Arrest
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2008 hours, Officer Hyle and Officer Swain responded to ShopRite for a report of a potential shoplifter. Upon arrival Officers met with loss prevention who identified the male as Patsy Ragonese, 33, of Basking Ridge. While investigating the incident, several warrants were located for Patsy to include an NCIC out of Somerset County, (2) Roxbury Township at $3500, (1) Bay Head Township $500. Patsy was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. Contact was made with Somerset County who dispatched Officers and took custody of Patsy.
Shoplifting- Arrest
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2018 hours Officer Labbate and Officer Lee responded to Walmart for a report of a male shoplifter. Upon arrival Officers met with Loss Prevention and the suspect, Joni Iobidze, 42, of Linden. Based on the investigation it was determined that Joni had stolen $199.97 worth of merchandise. Joni was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. Joni was charged on a complaint summons for Shoplifting and released.
Residential Burglary-Arrest
On Monday, November 18, 2024, Officers Plis and Officer Hyle responded to an address on Sunrise Boulevard, for a reported burglary to a residence. Upon arrival, the officers met with the homeowner who indicated that an unknown male entered her residence via the back door while she was home. After confronting the male, he quickly left the residence on foot. After checking the area the suspect was unable to be located.
On November 20, 2024, the Detective Bureau continued their investigation which lead to the arrest of Mark Paturzzio, 48, of Manahawkin. Mark was placed under arrest and charged with Burglary of a Residential Dwelling and Theft then transported to the Ocean Count Correctional Facility
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle/Theft-Arrest
On Tuesday November 19, 2024, at 1241 hours, Officer Plis responded to McDonald’s for a report of a vehicle burglary. Upon arrival, Officer Plis met with the victim who reported while inside the restaurant his vehicle was entered by an unknown subject and had approximately $100.00 worth of merchandise stolen from the vehicle.
While on scene, Officer Plis was approached by another victim who indicated that her vehicle was entered and approximately $35 worth of items were stolen from her vehicle.
A short time later this agency was contacted regarding a suspicious male in the parking lot of Encore Dental. Upon arrival officers, with the assistance of the Detective Bureau, located and identified the suspect, Edward McGrath, 38, of Little Egg Harbor, who was determined to be responsible for the vehicle burglaries at the McDonald’s restaurant. An accomplice, Kathleen Papa, 47, of Little Egg Harbor, was also identified. Both Edward and Kathleen were placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing. Edward was charged with multiple counts of Burglary, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Criminal Attempt and Paraphernalia on a complaint warrant and later transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility. Kathleen was charged with Criminal Attempt, Receiving Stolen Property and Theft on a complaint summons and released.
Luring/Enticing, Endangering the Welfare, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct-Arrest
On Wednesday November 20, 2024, at 1303 hours, Officers Lee and Officer Walsh responded to the area of Brick Avenue, for a report of a suspicious individual who was following a juvenile female through Gille Park. The officers located James Coll, 50, of Brick Avenue, who was still with the juvenile female. Following the on scene investigation, Officer Lee subsequently placed James under arrest and transported him to headquarters for processing. James was charged with Luring, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct on a complaint warrant and later transported to Ocean County Correctional Facility.
Shoplifting
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1935 hours, Officer Swain responded to Walmart for a report of a male and female shoplifters who fled the store. Officer Swain met with the Loss Prevention Associate, who was able to identify the male, Jonathan Rosado, 31, of Toms River, and the female, as Erika Miekley, 24, of Beachwood. Following an ongoing investigation, Officer Swain later charged both Jonathan and Erika with Shoplifting on their own respective warrants.
Burglary/Assault/Disorderly Conduct- Arrest
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, at approximately 2019 hours, Officer Zacco responded to the 300 block of Constitution Drive for a report of an assault that occurred earlier in the day (0830 hours) at Wawa in Forked River. The victim reported that he was involved in a road rage incident inside the parking lot of Wawa where an unidentified male got out of his vehicle and struck him while he remained seated in his car. Further investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, Daniel Sinnott, 77, of Ocean Township. Daniel was charged with Burglary, Simple Assault, and Disorderly Conduct on a complaint summons and released.
Shoplifting
On Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2059 hours, Officer Triano responded to the Wawa in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a shoplifting. Contact was made with the Wawa employee, who explained an unknown white male, wearing a black hoodie and black pajama pants stole various items and left the store. The stolen items were valued at $14.63 and the investigation is on-going.
Road Rage Incident- Fighting
On Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:17 hours, Officer Ravallo responded to Sunrise Bagels for a report of a physical dispute seemingly resulting from a road rage incident. Through the course of his investigation, Officer Ravallo discovered that there was an argument resulting from an issue when they were attempting to pull into the Sunset Plaza. Officer Ravallo issued summonses to Linda Padin Williams, age 48, of Lanoka Harbor, and Vincente Willaimsmarin, age 54, of Lanoka Harbor for Simple Assault, and Karim Anzour, 38, of North Haledon, for Disorderly conduct.
Theft
On Wednesday, November 28, 2024, at 09:44 hours, it was reported to Officer Holt that the large wooden "Worden House' sign, valued at approximately $500.00, on Route 9 was stolen. The investigation of the theft is still ongoing.
Shoplifting- Arrest
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 2155 hours, several Officers including Officer Morrone responded to Walmart for a report of a female shoplifter who fled the store in a vehicle. Officer Swain located the vehicle at Western Boulevard and Ridgemont Avenue where he met with the suspect, Kristen Poltroak, 52, of Beachwood. Based on the investigation Kristen was placed under arrest for shoplifting and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Kristen was found to have a no bail warrant issued out of Howell Township. Kristen was charged on a warrant for Shoplifting and Drug Paraphernalia then transported to Ocean County Correctional Facility
DWI/MVA
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 1930 hours, several officers, including Officer Walsh, responded to the area of Lacey Road and Maxim Drive for a report of a vehicle swerving and struck a curb. Officers located the vehicle at Lacey Road and Maxim Drive where they met with the driver, Leszek Zaniewski, 51, of Brooklyn, NY. Based on the investigation Leszek was placed under arrest for DWI. Leszek was issued summons for DWI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Open Container and Refusal to Submit Breath Samples. Leszek was later released in accordance to John’s Law.
Trespassing
On Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 0011 hours, Officer Spina conducted a motor vehicle stop at Lacey Road at mile marker 7 after he observed a vehicle exiting Lacey Materials. As a result Officer Spina issued the driver, Michael Hunt, 24, of Forked River, and passenger, Nicole Pesci, 27, of Manahawkin, special complaints for Defiant Trespassing.
DWI
On Friday, November 29, 2024, at 0707 hours, Officer Nilon and Officer Ricciardella responded to Dollar General for a report of a male asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle. Upon arrival the driver, Alonzo Maxin, 62, of Lakehurst, exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested for DWI. He was later issued motor vehicle summons for DWI, Refusal to Submit to Testing, Reckless Driving, and Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, then released in accordance to John’s Law.
Erratic Driver/Warrant Arrest
On Friday, November 29, 2024, at 1401 hours, Officers Ricciardella responded to the area of Lacey Road and Lower Lake Drive for a report of an erratic driver. Officer Ricciardella later made contact with the driver, Michael Miller, 53, of Forked River, at his residence. Michael was found to have several outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest. Custody of Michael was later transferred to Berkeley Police Department without incident.
DWI
On Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 1729 hours, Officer Ricciardella responded Wawa, 800 Lacey Road, to check the welfare of a female who displayed signs of intoxication. Officer Ricciardella met with the female, Marisa Carlin, 45, of Howell. Investigation at the scene lead to her arrest for DWI. Marisa was later served motor vehicle summons for DWI and Reckless Driving then released in accordance to John’s Law.
MV Stop - Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 1927 hours, Officer Morrone conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Lacey Road and Denton Avenue. Officer Morrone met with the driver, Regina Lee, 55, of Forked River, and discovered an outstanding warrant for her arrest, issued out of Englishtown. Officer Morrone placed Regina under arrest and transported her to headquarters. Regina was issued motor vehicle summons and turned over to Englishtown Police.
