Some In Lacey Might Not Get Power Until Friday Evening

While many have regained power, some might not get it back until 6 p.m. Friday, according to JCP&L.

LACEY, NJ — Nearly 2,000 still don't have power in Lacey and might not regain it until Friday evening. Jersey Central Power & Light projects restoration for 6 p.m. Friday.

About 4,000 customers — nearly a third of Lacey — lost power during Wednesday's storms. JCP&L says 1,855 still don't have electricity as of 9 a.m. Friday.

The company doesn't expect many nearby towns to regain power until 6 p.m. Friday, including Berkeley, Beachwood, Ocean Gate, Waretown and Barnegat.

There are still 7,575 customers without power in Ocean County — higher than any of the 13 counties JCP&L serves.
