Special Meeting Set To Discuss Budget, Referendum For Lacey Schools

LACEY, NJ — A special Board of Education meeting is set to discuss the upcoming budget and more for the Lacey Township School District, according to public notice.
The meeting, set for April 23 at 4:30 p.m., will discuss the budget, the March 2025 referendum and will have a presentation by an energy conservation platform, the notice said.
No action will be taken at the meeting.

This meeting comes less than a week after the previous school board meeting, which lasted nearly three hours and had students, teachers and parents emotionally asking the board to reconsider the budget cuts that would fire their beloved teachers. The notice also says there will be a presentation given by energy conservation platform Cenergistic. According to its website, Cenergistic is a company that works with organizations, including school districts, to reduce energy costs and increase sustainability.
The meeting will be held in the Lacey Township High School Media Center.
