Thief Rips Out 60 Feet Of Copper Piping In Home's Crawl Space
Incident occurred between Aug. 14 and Oct. 7, police chief says.

Lacey police are investigating the theft of $2,500 worth of copper piping from a home on Harrison Avenue in Forked River, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Christopher Meyler responded to police headquarters for a report of theft at 5:16 pm. on Oct. 20. Megan McKenna, the homeowner told police she had recently purchased a residence on Harrison Avenue in Forked River the chief said.
The homeowner said she discovered that the plumbing was not working and hired a plumber. The plumber told her that more than sixty feet of copper was cut out from the crawlspace of the residence. The damage and stolen copper was estimated at approximately $2,500. The incident is believed to have occurred between August 14, 2015 and October 7, 2015, Paprota said.
