Trenton Brother-Sister Duo Arrested Heroin Charges

Detectives from the Lacey Township police department and members of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Special Operations Group recently arrested a Trenton brother and sister for bringing heroin into Lacey Township, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Police stopped Ivory l. Lewis, 24, 63 Brynmawr Avenue and Tiemear Lewis, 23, Carteret Avenue at 2 p.m. on April 1 in the Bay Way area in Lanoka Harbor, the chief said.

A search of their 2015 Dodge Journey revealed 350 individual doses of heroin and some marijuana, Paprota said.

Both were charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin under half an ounce with intent to distribute. Both their bails were set at $40,000 each. They were taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, the chief said.
