Van Stolen From Lacey Recovered, Suspect Found

The Forked River man was charged with stealing a vehicle and prescription medication.

LACEY, NJ — Lacey police recovered a stolen van and found the suspect. Brian Kelly was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and prescription medication.

Kelly, of Forked River, stole the van Feb. 3 from behind Medicine To Go on Lacey Road, authorities said. Police asked the public for help identifying the suspect. Read more: Van Stolen In Lacey; PD Looks To Identify Suspect

Stafford police found the van Feb. 6 in a commercial lot on Route 72. The van wasn't damaged, and all the belongings were still inside.

Kelly, 41, was arrested Wednesday at his home. He was placed in the Ocean County Jail.
