Weekend South Jersey Crash Kills Lacey Man: State Police

Brian Blaszka, 36, of Forked River, was one of three pedestrians killed in a Burlington County crash this past weekend, state police said.

WOODLAND, NJ — A Forked River man was one of three pedestrians killed after being hit by a car on a rural Burlington County road over the weekend, state police said.

At around 11:25 p.m. on Saturday, the driver of a Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound on Chatsworth Barnegat Road (CR 532) in Woodland Township. The driver rear-ended a Fort Mustang also traveling northbound, a New Jersey State Police spokesperson told Patch.

The Nissan also hit three pedestrians, including 36-year-old Brian Blaszka of Forked River, the spokesperson said.

Along with Blaszka, Dion Cardell, 50, of Browns Mills and Michael Stull, 46, of Hamilton sustained fatal injuries, the spokesperson said.

The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and the driver of the Nissan did not report any injuries. It was not immediately clear if any charges were filed as a result of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said.
