Woman Spat At Officers After Lacey Inn Dispute: Police
The woman was charged with throwing bodily fluid on police.

LACEY, NJ — A woman spat at officers Saturday who were responding to a reported dispute at the Lacey Inn, according to police.
Lacey police responded to the report at 9:36 p.m. Saturday. While there, officers arrested Savannah Banks. She became uncooperative and spat at officers, according to authorities.
Banks, 22, was charged with throwing bodily fluid at police. She was jailed at the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney General has reported several incidents of people spitting at or threatening police officers during the new-coronavirus pandemic.

"There are some who deliberately threaten our brave police officers, medical personnel, and other essential workers, impeding their vital work," said Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal.
