Woman Who Struck Two Cars, Then Fled Scene, Charged With Drunk Driving
Michelle Peterson, 31, of East Brunswick also falsely reported that someone had hit her car, Lacey police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested an East Brunswick woman on drunk driving after she struck two cars in the parking lot on Wendy's on Route 9 North, then fled the scene, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Evan Androcy responded to the parking lot at 11:56 a.m. on March 4 on a report of a hit-and-run accident. Callers told police that a blue vehicle driven by a woman had just hit two cars, then fled. Lacey police received another call at the same time from Michelle Peterson, 31, Frost Avenue, who said someone had hit her car in the parking lot of Linda's Pizza on Route 9 South, the chief said.
Investigation at the scenes indicated that Michelle Peterson had struck the vehicles in the parking lot of Wendy’s and then fled to Linda’s Pizza, where she made a false report to police. She was arrested and taken to police headquarters. She was charged with making false reports to law enforcement authorities, creating a public alarm, driving while under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident, Paprota said.
