Woman Who Struck Utility Pole In Lacey Charged With Drunk Driving

Nicole Quiros, 38, Beachwood, taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River, police chief says.

Lacey police recently charged a Beachwood woman with driving under the influence after she struck a utility police on Route 9 near Murray Grove Lane recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer John McKee responded to the area in Lanoka Harbor on a report of a motor vehicle accident at 2:03 a.m. on April 4, the chief said.

Nicole Quiros, 38, was entrapped in the vehicle after it struck a utility pole and overturned. She was taken to Community Medical Center for treatment of her injuries, Paprota said.

Quiros was also issued summonses for reckless driving and failure to maintain lane, he said.

Her vehicle was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
