1 Hurt In Route 88 Crash: Lakewood Police

The crash at the New Hampshire Avenue intersection involved a motorcycle and remains under investigation, police said Thursday.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — One person was injured Wednesday night in a crash at the intersection of Route 88 and New Hampshire Avenue, police said Thursday.

The person, who was driving a motorcycle, was treated at an area hospital for injuries following the crash that happened about 8:30 p.m., Lakewood Lt. Leroy Marshall said. He did not release further information on the injured rider, who is an adult.

The crash, which resulted in the closure of the Route 88-New Hampshire Avenue intersection for a few hours Wednesday night, remains under investigation by the department's traffic safety unit, he said.
