Bomb Threat To Lakewood Hospital 3rd Since May: Police
Authorities are investigating whether the three are related, police said.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities investigated a bomb threat made to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus on Tuesday night, the third such threat since May, Lakewood police confirmed Wednesday.
Officers were called to the hospital, formerly known as Kimball Medical Center, about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Lt. Leroy Marshall said Wednesday. The threat was made over the phone, he said.
"Multiple officers responded to investigate the threat," he said, and K9 officers conducted a full sweep of the hospital and its property.

The threat remains under investigation, though officers cleared the scene, he said. Detective Patrick Kearns is leading the investigation.
Marshall confirmed it is the third threat to the hospital in recent weeks.

"We are still attempting to determine whether the incidents are related," Marshall said.
